Scarlet Firethorn – Pyracantha coccinea (Potted)

Description

Scarlet Firethorn, Pyracantha coccinea, is a semi evergreen. It produces a beautiful mass of flowers from early spring until early summer which then turn into another mass of orange berries. The bush is impenetrable due to its spiky thorns and would make a great hedge. Planted as an individual bush it is an outstanding feature in any sized garden. It responds well to heavy pruning. It could grow to around 3m or be trimmed to any height. It will grow well in all soil types.
