Description
Norway Spruce , Picea abies, is the most common Christmas tree species in the UK. It has a perfect shape when given the room to grow. More are being sold in pots now reducing needle drop when brought indoors at Christmas. It should have regular watering if in a warm environment, perhaps buy one a bit smaller than ideal so that it can be used for several Christmas times. Half bury the pot in the garden between Christmases and water periodically, upsizing the pot each year. Eventually, plant it in a permanent position, possibly in a local nature reserve.
